Well Managed Time

As a bride and groom, not knowing how to manage your time during the reception can be pretty common. For instance, after the grand entrance immediately do your first dance. This saves time because you are already on the dance floor as well as the rest of the bridal party. Another suggestion would be to have the wedding party join halfway through your first dance as opposed to doing two separate dances. Typically the head table and immediate family tables will be the very fist to be served. Once you are all finished eating, you can begin parent dances as well as the cake cutting. This leaves yourselves much more time for dancing and mingling with the guests, and also ensures most of your guests will still be seated at there tables to view everything. Utilizing all the down time can be good if you like to dance or would like more interaction with the guests after dinner. After all the dances and cake cutting are through you will only have to stop the music for your garter and bouquet toss. Even though this is not the most traditional way of doing things it is the most efficient, and most weddings are far from traditional now anyways. This is also a good idea so that none of the formalities are missed by the photographer or the videographer since neither of them typically stays until the end of the reception. So, if you are a couple that likes to get down and boogie then consider completing some of the formal dances prior to the end of dinner. That is down time well managed.
